Our apartment at Pelican Marsh is 2000sq ft under air/heat. There is also a spacious screened lanai that connects with the living room, family room and master bedroom. The lanai overlooks a peaceful lagoon and Pelican Marsh single family homes that are hardly visible because of heavy foliage. The lagoon is stocked with fish and other wild life (no alligators!). The lagoon can be seen from most windows in this end unit apartment. The lagoon provides a never-ending display of birds (30+ varieties identified to date with apartment binoculars). The westnorthwest exposure makes the lanai comfortable anytime of the day and includes sunset views. We are located in the plantation of Arielle which is just off of the14th fairway. There are four gated entrances to Pelican Marsh on the Tamiami Trail, Vanderbilt Beach Rd., and Airport Rd. The Marsh is about 2 1/2 miles from the nearby Gulf of Mexico.
The apartment is equipped and furnished more like a "home" rather than a rental unit. There is plenty of everything to make you stay the most pleasant possible. There are two large bedrooms (1 King/1 Twins) and a den (3rd bedroom - pull out). There is a master bath with soaking tub, large glass shower, private commode and double vanities. The second bath is shared by the 2nd and 3rd bedroom. Each bedroom has its own private lavatory.
An upgraded kitchen has corian counters, hardwood cabinetry and about every appliance one could hope for (blender, electric juice squeezer, mixer, etc.) There is an oversized living room, a dining room, laundry room with full sized washer and dryer. This is the largest apartment in Arielle and is an end-unit with lots of natural light, cross ventilation, privacy and security (second floor). The second floor location also provides an added barrier against Florida critters. In the apartment you'll find just about every bell and whistle to include: computer with free high speed internet, fax/copy/scan/printer, answering machine, phones, three color TV's (HDcable), 2 VCR's, 2DVD, CD player, stereo, 8 ceiling fans, infant equipment, security system, electronic critter protection system. All major appliances/HVAC are covered under a service contract for quick and easy repair should a problem develop. There are ceramic tile floors throughout except for the bedrooms which have been recently carpeted. The apartment was repainted in 2008 and bedroom mattresses are new in 2009.
There is a two car garage, three quality bikes, beach chairs, umbrellas, fishing rods/reels, various beach toys for children, and much more. The pool and hot tub are located about 75 yards from the apartment (gas grilles too), and the Pelican Marsh Clubhouse is available with 10 tennis courts, workout center, massage therapy room, computer room and more. A beach pass to Delinor-Wiggins famous beach is included (3 miles+ of unspoiled non-commercial beach). Delinor-Wiggins is just a 5 minute drive from the front gate of Pelican Marsh!
